Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God. Corrie Ten Boom
Meditation: Cornelia “Corrie” ten Boom was born in Haarlem, Netherlands, in 1892, and grew up in a devout Christian family. During World War II, she and her family harbored hundreds of Jews to protect them from arrest by Nazi authorities. The estimated number of Jews rescued by the ten Boom family is 800. Betrayed by a fellow Dutch citizen, the entire family was imprisoned. Corrie survived and started a worldwide ministry and later told her story in a book entitled “The Hiding Place”, which was also made into a movie with the same title.
Prayer: God, we give thanks for Corrie ten Boom and her family. Often we are afraid of our unknown future and we start worrying. Given her story, her invitation to trust You as the one we know is powerful. In prayer we find a place for our fear. And so we pray and commit our future into your hands. Amen
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Psalm 37:5+7
